Corsa delle Brocche

The “Corsa delle Brocche” is a popular traditional festival, in particular it remembers the struggle between Orvieto and Siena for the supremacy of Cetona, which ended with the absorption of the Orvieto domains by Siena. The festival takes place in Piazza Garibaldi and at the Parco dei Tigli in Cetona at the end of August, with dinner in the main square, horses and people in costume enacting battles and many popular games.
