Città della Pieve, situated 508 m. above sea level, dominates the Valdichiana and the Lake Trasimeno, on the borders of Umbria and Tuscany. It is also near to Lazio and Rome. Its picturesque countryside, was the inspiration for locally born Pietro Vannucci known as “Il Perugino” (1450 -1523), in where he left many works (Cattedrale, Oratorio di Santa Maria dei Bianchi, Santa Maria dei Servi, San Pietro).
